Overview

Obscuratus is the first boss in Tenebris Somnia, reached through the boarded window in Iván's apartment using the Wrench. The boss fight cycle has three repeating steps.

  1. Run around the arena — Obscuratus starts invisible.
  2. Light every candle — interact with the lit candles scattered around the room to keep them lit (or relight them).
  3. Extinguish every candle — interact with the candles to put them out. When all candles are extinguished at once, Obscuratus becomes visible and vulnerable.
  4. Deal damage — attack the now-visible boss.
  5. Repeat — Obscuratus will go invisible again; light the candles, extinguish them all, deal damage. This cycle runs several times to defeat him.

Iron and wax achievement

Defeating Obscuratus using only the Wrench earns the missable Iron and wax achievement. Commit to the Wrench the entire fight; switching to a firearm or any other weapon invalidates the run.
